We had a fabulous day! Last night Jake and I stayed up and made Alan a Darth Vadar V-day card (he is really IN to Star Wars) and some delish brownies...I love chocolate...(I know, I know...it's supposed to be for him, right? But I KNEW he would have shared with me anyway:))
And Alan got me a piano:) We have been searching for one for months and months...even paid to have one inspected (glad we did...it needed $800 worth of work and we were only paying $150 for it!!!! That is a BAD rate of return!!!!) Alan found a piano on craigslist (I LOVE THAT PLACE!!!) for FREE dollars and no pennies. We contacted the owner and found out a little about it. It was kind of beat up, but for free whose gonna whine, right? As long as it can be tuned and hold it and plays well I say GO FOR IT!!! So I called and go directions to their house and sent Alan to check it out since I had a previous engagement. He followed the directions, went up to the door and asked for Teresa (just like she had instructed me to) and the lady said, "I'm Teresa, but I ususally go by Terri"...ok...so Alan says he's there to look at the piano. She invites him in and apologizes for the mess, they had remodeled the floor and she didn't know her husband was sending anyone over to look at it. Alan thought this was wierd but thought the piano looked nice so set up today to go back and pick it up...Terri asked Alan how he knew about it and he said he had found the ad on craigslist. She said they didn't have an ad on craigslist and the story began to unfold...we have NO IDEA what happened becuase I wrote the directions down, and read them back to Teresa and she said that was right, but those directions did NOT take Alan to their house:) What are the chances, eh? So...here she is:) Heavy (took 6 guys), but I think it's beautiful. It REALLY needs a tune, but Jake and I spent most of the day playing it and looking at it...he plays and dances...it's hysterical. I'll try to get it on film for you:)
So, anyway. Happy valentine's day...We love you all and hope yours was as great as ours:)
So much to be THANKFUL for!

That is great! You will love being able to bless your home with music even more now. You have such a great voice and now can add the piano too. I love it that Jake like to dance and play.
That's awesome! We had the same sort of thing happen with a free TV...but that's not NEARLY as cool as a free piano! Wohoo!
