Mother's Day

Alan had Mother's Day off this year and it was AWESOME! He and Jake were up early making surprises for me in the basement...this sign and a totally cute card (which I somehow didn't get a picture of).

Alan and I spoke in church...which, in preparation phase, I was very grateful for the opportunity becuase it really gave me a chance to think about the amazing women in my life and how empowered I've been through their influence in my life...but in the delivery I remembered that I think it's totally rude to ask girls to speak on Mother's Day...blubber, blubber, blubber. My talk was on Being a Mother in Zion and Alan's was on Honoring Mothers.

Another surprise Alan and Jake worked on while in the basement was this...

Seriously...how cute is that?

And speaking of CUTE!!! Mom and I found a tie pattern and some totally fun fabric so I've been making Jake and Alan ties. I didn't make Alan's in this picture, but I did Jake's. I think it turned out great and it is sooo heart warming to see them match:)

Dude your kid is a freakin' genius. It is hard to believe that him and Cooper are only a couple of weeks apart. I can't wait to meet him. You are coming this summer right?
