Utah, rednecks, and beauty contests

So...Jake, Alan and I have been spending a little time in Utah...(Actually, we are all home now, but we're going to pretend that I'm on top of things and am actually blogging "live" instead of weeks after the fact:) ). Our first night in town Jas and Katy took us out on the TOWN to the local Crash Derby as Jas was on one of the pit crews. When I told Alan where we were going he got...nervous...he didn't feel he was redneck enough to fit with the typical crash derby crowd, if ya know what I'm sayin'...But once we got there he got into his redneck groove and we were set:) Jake LOVED it! He kept saying "crazy drivin'!" I don't know where he learned that phrase...must be when he's riding with his dad... :)
Jas was on the Simpson's team. The first "event" was the beauty contest, which they won last year so the pressure was on....
Sadly...they lost to those joker's they are passing in this picture...a real croc...all the other guy did was black with green flames...lame...
But there was some good madness and mayhem so that was nice:) Lots of crashing and flipping. Good times all around.
