I know I already did a tribute-to Jake's birthday -post, but...He's so cute I thought I'd do another one. :) Recently Jake is really IN to having a towel on his head. One day he just started saying he needed to be a missionary and either wraps it around like a skirt or puts it on his head. We have finally figured out that he saw the pictures of the missionaries in the picture Book of Mormon we read from each night and we always talk about Nephi, Alma, Ammon, etc being good missionaries...funny little boy:)
Jake had his first REAL run-in with snow. Up to this point he was either too little, or I was too lame to take him out in it. So here we are in March and in one day we got 7 inches!!! So Jake and I bundled up and off we went! He L-O-V-E-S it!!! Especially once he found out you could eat the snow:) He planted his little buns down and ate and ate. Couldn't get enough. I had time to shovel the drive and come back and he was only 10 feet from where he started...just moved to get some fresh snow:) He was also really impressed with the deep footprints:) Really...is there anything as sweet as seeing things through the eyes of a child?
Only a few days later it was bright and sunny outside so Jake and Alan got to get out and do some work together. I caught this picture through an obviously VERY dirty window, but isn't that cute? I love those boys!
We took Jake to a lake near town and taught him about throwing rocks. LOVE at first throw...please also note the cute little giraffe boots he's wearing. He got them from his grandparents and for several days he wore them with pajamas, play clothes, church clothes, a diaper...
Handsome, handsome, handsome...
One of his favorite pasttimes is playing in the sink. I haven't been as...on top of things... like dishes for instance... as I normally am. So I cleared a path to the sink for him and about 10 minutes later heard him calling for help. He usually doesn't play with the dirty dishes, but apparently these bottles were too much of a draw and he totally got his arms stuck:)
He's such a helpful little man. His most recent project is helping Daddy get back in shape:)
I just couldn't resist posting this picture. He has learned how to get his shirt off all by himself AND how to put his boots on without help...too cute.
I love my boys!!!

So cute! Jake is growing up way too fast!
Too cute! Don't you love two year olds. They do the cutest things. I can't wait to see your baby.
I love the towel over his head! What a funny kid. We have many pictures with the boys on top of Kevin while doing push-ups. I find it a great challenge for the men.
