Driving Lessons

We are currently preparing for the biggest trip of Jake's life...a 1200 mile roadtrip...Having done the trip before, we know how long that is and how tiring it can be driving, so we thought it would be a great idea to just teach Jake to drive so he can help us out...

He was really good and remembering to look both ways!

We ran into a little trouble when someone cut him off and he IMMEDIATELY went for the horn! Where did he learn THAT?!?

And then he started yelling at the guy...

And if that wasn't bad enough, we got pulled over...he was pretty good at talking the officer out of a ticket though...

So...I think we may have to wait until the next roadtrip to have him drive, but it's good to get a jump start on stuff like this:)

hahaha...nice story!! =)

Cute little Jake...oh how I wish I knew you. =) Are you coming through Utah?? If so, you always have a place to crash, if needed.

Lynette,
It's one of your roomates from apt. 101. I found you through Katy and Jason's blog. I hope you don't mind being blog stocked. I really think you should open up a driving school. I'd send my kids to you! It looks like life is good for you. I sure can't complain.

Good thing you cut his hand out of the third picture. Wouldn't want people seeing your 8 month old flipping the bird and wonder where he learned that!

That's super cute. Olivia asks on every car ride if she can drive, and we respond in another 14 years, but we do let her practice a lot when the car is in park, it's one of her favorite things.

Lauren asks all the time if she can drive. I told her 11 more years and we can start. Her reply is usually, "Ah, Man!"

That Jake...he is so advanced...I'm glad the officer escaped without any profanity on Jake's part!

Also, Ryan West is my cousin! I'll tell him that you said hello, and I'll email you his email address. He's a great kid. He lived in the city for a few months on an internship, so I got to hang with him a little bit.
