Remember that roadtrip I was telling you about?..you know...the one that Jake has been practicing driving for? Welp...we did it. We strapped a cargo thing on top of our little Honda and off we went:) We forgot to take pictures, but our little car looked pretty funny...the topper seemed to be almost as tall as the car by itself:) As we were getting ready to leave town Jake had been sick and fevering for a couple of days so we were a little worried about him and then Alan came down with something...he spent 4 hours in the Insta-Care to find out that he had Strep throat...and two hours later I started feeling sick...luckily our doctor just called me in a prescription since Alan had already been diagnosed. Though...word to the wise...traveling with TWO adults with strep throat is not the preferred method of travel...Jake did awesome in the car though! A real trooper. We drove through the night and arrived the next afternoon tired little campers!!!! It was fantastic to play with family...truth be told I spent much of the adult play time sick as a dog in bed, but really enjoyed my time with everyone during the day:)
Here are some highlights (the picture taking was a little random on our end due to the incoherent state we spent much of our time in:)
We rolled over the 100,000 mile mark on our car!!!!! How exciting eh? So, to record this momentus occasion we took a picture of where we were...following a semi somewhere before Tremonton, UT...a place we'll never forget:)
Jake was pretty lazy by the end of the trip...the kid wouldn't even hold his own bottle anymore...and who can blame him?! I mean, really?!?
This was the first official time all the newest "batch" of kids was together...4 babies last year alone!!!! WHO ARE WE?!? They are sitting in age order...Jake, Sienna, Eyan, and little Brynlee right in front...I apologize that I wasn't able to get the red-eye out so a couple of them look like demon children...they are all pretty darn sweet:)
For our nativity program Aunt Katy brought incredible costumes for EVERYONE! Jake was a lamb...though many mistook him for the Bethlehem bunny...I say it's like the ugly duckling, ya know? Can't judge a lamb by it's ears! He was the cutests little lamb:) And even liked crawling around in his little get-up:)
We made Christmas trains again this year. Kev, Savanna, Bec, and Kenna and I were on a team...we had a pond...with sharks...eeeek...AND palm trees...and several train cars with a nice blend of...stuff...why keep things segregated? Bec kept insisting that it didn't matter that the bears would eat the fish...there was still more room in the bear cage and we needed to use all the space:)
"Why are you people bugging me?"
As we were pulling back into T-town Jake was just gettin' into his grove:) He was TOTALLY hooked up...had the whole back seat to himself and really didn't feel the need to have us bothering him:)
So much to be THANKFUL for!

YAY...thanks for the recap!! Sorry to hear that you all were sick. Not fun.
Glad to hear that you are enjoying "White Lightning" and that you crossed the 100,000 mile mark with her. Sad that we missed it!! (tear)
